Playing around with an old WRT54Gv3 with v24-sp2-mini (8/12/10) in Router mode just to see if I can isolate several IP cameras and DVR from my main network. (I know it's old but I prefer to try and repurpose old hardware rather than disposing of it and this is more for my own education than a critical function.)

I just put 47822 on a couple R7000s and I was wondering if there anything newer I could be loading on the WRT54G. I looked through the download directories and there are wrt54gv7 directories going back to 4/9/11 but nothing for v3.

I also searched the forum and found a thread where 47695 was put on a GS but I have a G which I imagine does not have the same hardware resources.

See the forum guidelines with helpful pointers about how to research your router, where and what firmware to download, where and how to post and many other helpful tips:

I have a 54GS running in my holiday home, upgraded about 7 weeks ago, but that can have mega builds as it has 8 MB flash, yours has 4 MB I think so you should have the mini builds but do not take my word for it Smile

Indeed, 4MB flash; note in wiki about firmware image sizes, but current should be ok:

Avoid mega and special_vpn images; they are not for your router.

Just like the R7000, I couldn't use the same config but once I re-entered it manually it worked great. Thanks!
