I have a WLAN-bridge over radio relay with two WHR-HP-G54. The bridge worked for a couple of years without any problems. Since four weeks we have to restart one router because he lost the connection to the LAN. And I don’t know why. Therefore I activated syslog on the router. The log is attached. Also the status page.
one thing changed. we set up a NAC with macmon but the interface on the switch is protected. Is it possible that the failure comes around with the macmon or vlan settings ?

Can anybody help ?
It's my understanding you have the same equipment on each side, so you could exchange it to check whether the failure is with the router or other gear. In that line of thinking, you could exchange just the power bricks, (because sometimes the capacitors degradate over time). _________________ If you want support, please read first the announcements and forum rules.

in the meantime I bought exactly the same modell on eBay, installed exactly the same firmware dd-wrt.v23_sp2_standard, configured it just as access point without bridge the other side and connected it parallel on the same switch which is not controlled from macmon. The same phenomenon. The router also starts automatically few times a day. While deactiving the switch port for a while the router works without restart. It's strange. There must be something in LAN which triggers both routers to restart. Is it possible to find out what ? I activated syslog. But I can't see anything which indicates the reason for a restart.

Assuming this runs a k24 build from the broadcom folder, I would consider at least upgrading to
the Peacock Thread recommended 14929 (the generic buffalo wiki linked below recommends
nokaid image, but I will link the std image as well):

14929 installed. No change. Buffalo restarts automatically
Is it possible to log all incoming traffic from LAN to identify the trigger ?
You can set the router to log to an external server. Yo need to enable/configure it under services and security, and you can set the level of details you want to log for troubleshooting. _________________ If you want support, please read first the announcements and forum rules.
