We could end up with creepy Bill Gates’ microchips implants
I'm amazed at how the news fawn over someone who, IMHO, built an empire based on stolen intellectual property. Yeah, I'm old enough to remember who the ole' pirate is. I was once an OS2 Engineer in my younger days.

I'm gonna quote Schoolhouse Rock:

Mother Necessity, and where would we be?
Yep, his methods are probably NOT ethical, whatsoever, but at the same time, where would we be? Using CDE or TWM? The folks in Cupertino ain't no better (Apple). _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Wow... You must be old...
I was born just before the Bethel Rock Festival. I watched bits and pieces of the end of the Second Indochina War on TV as a child. Old enough to know better, still too young to care sometimes _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I was born in 1960. Very much a Saturday morning cartoon kid, so knew much of the Schoolhouse Rock by heart. I'm assuming you are calling Woodstock the Bethel Rock Festival? I was 9 when that was going on. I also remember very clearly watching on a "roll away B&W TV", Apollo 11 landing. If I knew then what I know now, I would have paid more attention to historical activity.

I was seeing if anyone got the reference. Yes, Woodstock, the Original. I wasn't quite hatched yet when Apollo 11 happened. So, we're not that far apart in age. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I'm still a Spring chicken. At least my mind thinks so. My body says otherwise I was probably doing patch updates via CVS or some other archaic means before some folks even knew what Linux or UNIX was. Long live ARPANET and D-ARPANET! When did you start using Linux? I started soon after Commodore went belly up. I was an Amiga 2000 user at the time. Went straight from AmigaOS to Redhat Linux 5.1 in what I believe was 1991/1992. I Built the most power x86 computer I could at the time. It was still very limited compared to my trusty old Amigas. Presently on Fedora 31. I have never owned a copy of Windows and never will. Thank God for Linux! That was my PC savior. lol _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562
