I have a Linksys WRT3200ACM. Every few months all the devices on the 2.4GHZ network loose connection. A reboot of the router fixes the problem.

I want to try to automate a more granular fix. I pretty much have all the logic I want to script but am having a problem finding a fix to actually implement once the problem is detected (short of a reboot).

Code:
ifconfig wlan1 down

Does show under status/wireless that the 2.4ghz radio is off
and
Code:
ifconfig wlan1 up

does show that it is turned back on again.

But this does not fix the connection problem like a reboot does.

Is there some process I can kill/restart or something else I can do to the 2.4ghz connection that might reset it short of a reboot?
