Hi, I've tried to changed the router's DHCP settings to point to a different DNS server as such

But /etc/resolv.conf always contains the router's IP which is 192.168.0.2. A station that is configured to grab its IP setting from DHCP also get that IP address instead of the configured 192.168.0.3 and yes, I can ping that IP and DNS is working on it.

Anybody care to tell me what I'm doing wrong, because I'm at a lost?

Router has been rebooted as well. Running DD-WRT v3.0-r44863 std (11/24/20)

I fixed it by entering this into the 'Additional Dnsmasq options' box

dhcp-option=option:dns-server, 192.168.0.3
server = 192.168.0.3

You simply have to deactivate "use dnsmasq for DNS".
Then the clients will receive the static DNS directly via DHCP and not the router IP (dnsmasq).

To add you are running an old and no longer supported build which has safety issues.

Upgrading is highly recommended, current is 48432

As you are coming from such an old build, resetting *after* upgrading and putting settings in manually (never restore settings to a different build) is also recommended.
