WARNING:DO NOT flash this experimental test build unless you know the risks and recovery methods. Report here to provide important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware model & version, mode (e.g. Repeater) and SPECIFIC build (e.g. netgear-r7000-webflash). Avoid discussions and create a new thread for specific problems or questions as this thread is not for support, and posts may be deleted or moved.
Important: if reporting any issues, provide applicable info (GUI syslog, `dmesg`, `cat /var/log/messages`, etc.)
Or put into SVN ticket. For firewall issues, also provide "iptables" info (`iptables -L`, `iptables -t nat -L`, & the /tmp/.ipt file).
Template example to copy (after "Code:") for posting issues, be sure to include the mode in use (gateway, AP, CB, etc.):
*** This one, off the bat, seems pretty clean. But I was so wrong. wifi disconnects about 24 hours in, requiring a reboot to resolve. VPN client does not connect properly unless <apply settings> is pressed. smba support malfunctions unless <apply settings> is pressed.

Flashed all went well, "client mode" if i add a VAP on 2.4 side it turns off the 2.4 radio still but then again this fix had nothing to do with my complaint.
besides its KP's Fault anyway.
Running away for the day now things to do _________________ Downloads:

Upgrade 3200 r42514 -> r42557
Wasn't going to do this but after two+ days running on r42514 all of a sudden none of my Android devices could connect on 2.4Ghz N only . Upgraded without problem and all devices able to connect without problem, for now. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+

Yeah, keep running, chi-bee-ken! Haha. I really do not think wireless client mode and a vap will work consecutively by default. Client bridged mode, perhaps, but then you have to perhaps assign the wan port to the same bridge as the client radio and then bridge the rest to the vap. Just an idea that I came up with just now on the fly. May be worth looking into, or it may cause you more grief. If the latter, I will gladly take the blame _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Just saw this and found it interesting considering OpenWRT, WikiDevi, et al ad nauseum report that the wireless chips are identical across the board in the Linksys WRT AC series with Marvell hardware: https://svn.dd-wrt.com/changeset/42562
I would think that the driver should be the same across the board, unless the actual chipset information is completely unverified and erroneous or each models' chip firmware is specific or something. Hopefully this will mean the next build will act a little better. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Same driver, different chips and binary blobs. 88W8864 and 88W8964 (1900 and 3200).
Yep, definitely going to look into getting in to see the eye doctor now. You are correct. Everything from 1200 thru 1900 uses the same chips, and the 3200 and 32X use the same chips. You would think someone would know this and figure this out, perhaps. Yes, I am being intentional with the comment.

I guess I had not noticed this since I had not been using anything that was locally bandwidth intensive, but since the 17th build until this one, the 5Ghz antenna just refuses to connect anyone or anything.
I've tried every wireless combination there is on the 32x and still nothing. I'm keeping this build though with the 2.4 Ghz antenna and hoping for the best on the next builds.

I should add, that no such problem happens in my 3200acm with this build (It works flawlessly), so it's kind of amazing.
They both have the same settings, which is even more impressive all things considered.

Because the shared driver and other code should be between the 3200acm and the 32x, not the 3200 and the 1900. Because the wireless hardware is different. But I have no "glue". _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Two diffrent units, same codes in them both.
Wifi works on stock wrt settings, 2.4ghz and 5 but in 20mhz only.
WiFi works poorly, its very unstable with win10p, was not before on older last year ddwrt.
Even android10 have problems connecting.

Upgraded to DD-WRT v3.0-r42617 std (03/05/20)
1. 2.4GHZ wifi stop working once in several hours. Reboot helps.
2. Configuration changes do not apply to 2.4GHZ wifi - need to reboot. Did not try 5GHZ.

This is the 42557 thread. Which build had the dropping problem, 42557 or 42617? _________________ 2x Netgear XR500 and 3x Linksys WRT1900ACSv2 on 53544: VLANs, VAPs, NAS, station mode, OpenVPN client (AirVPN), wireguard server (AirVPN port forward) and clients (AzireVPN, AirVPN, private), 3 DNSCrypt providers via VPN.
