Hi

I have installed the initial dd-wrt built 1 time, but i would like to go back to stock.

The things I already tried:
-I tried to flash with the web gui of dd-wrt but it sais upgrade failed.
-Change the partition by powering off and on (since I only installed dd-wrt 1 time)
-change the partition with ssh: but when I restarted, it just came back to dd-wrt and I checked the partition but it was still 0 like before (I used "nvram get bootpartition" and then "nvram set bootpartition=1")
-I tried to install another dd-wrt version (from brainslayer) with the web gui but this also returned "upgrade failed"
-then I tried to flash the stock firmware using tftp when ping said 100, also didn't work.

If you wan't to know why I wan't to go back to stock. It is because I didn't see that it was this hard to get dd-wrt working on this router and that there are bugs. So I bought netgear r7000 and installed advanced tomato on it in less than an hour while i'm stuck with this router for more than 6 hours Confused . Now I wan't to use this router just as an access point, but the usb 3.0 port needs to work which doesn't work on dd-wrt. Or I will sell it.

If anyone can help me I would be really happy! Thanks in advanced!!

PS. Sorry if there are spelling mistakes, I'm not a native speaker.

Linksys EA series especially when running stock is not the best choice (best choiche for broadcom: R6400v2\R7000, for Qualcomm Atheros (faster) : R7500v2 \ R7800).
EA6900 has decent hardware and with XVortex CFE runs DDWRT fine (but without the USB 3, you only have usb 2)

If TFTP does not work you can try serial.

But before doing that, reset to defaults before downgrading and very important use Internet Explorer as your browser, there have been reports especially with Chrome of upgrade failures. Use an early linksys stock file if available, do not use the latest linksys stock to downgrade

It finally worked! Very Happy

I first tried to install with an older 1.1.42.161129.img with tftp, but this didn't work.
After this i tried it with an even older img (1.1.42.158863), this said the first time flash succesful but I was still on dd-wrt. Then I did it again and it failed. And then the 3th time it said again succesfull and this time I also was back on the stock firmware. Here is that img I used if anyone is interested. https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Router-Switch-Access-Point/Linksys/Linksys-EA6900-v11-Router-Firmware-1142158863.shtml

Bedankt om mij te helpen Wink
