Hi all,

I have a LinkSys BEFSX41 box. This model is not listed in Wiki pages as supported hardware. Is there any plan for DD-WRT for Linksys BEFSX41?

Well the avg user does't know what OS various boxes run on firmware, or how much RAM they have so, its not that bad a question :P

To answer your question, likely no. The base OS feature set isn't even similar. For example the SX41 works as an IPsec endpoint (a pretty useless one at that) where the WRT does not even support that function.

The short answer to your question is probbaly no. The SX41 is a much older box also.

My idea was to use BEFSX41 not as an IPsec endpoint with original firmware, but as a SSL Hardware VPN Client, using OpenVPN.

I cannot find information on anything other than a v2.1, and it is not a Broadcom SoC device. It is not now nor will probably ever be supported by this firmware. Also, you will never be able to run OpenVPN on 2MB flash. It is virtually impossible. Even 4MB routers don't generally support it.
