Well I did manage to get one EA8500 on r53815. Working for about 10 days now. _________________ ......All GOOD here... Just Handshakes and Time Stamps !......
I managed to get r54079 on one of my EA8500s. It was a lengthy process using the TFTP method; flashed to both partitions. Twelve reboots and two NVRAM resets (auto resets) later it finally booted. It's been running fine now for nearly 12 hours but it's not doing anything useful. Under load it could be a completely different story. USB2 port seems to be working w/USB3 64GB Sandisk flash stick and I didn't test the USB3 port as earlier k6.1 builds broke two USB sticks already. _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562

I managed to get r54079 on one of my EA8500s. It was a lengthy process using the TFTP method; flashed to both partitions. Twelve reboots and two NVRAM resets (auto resets) later it finally booted. It's been running fine now for nearly 12 hours but it's not doing anything useful...
Just thinking... Q: now that it's up and running, did you try to reflash using normal web/cli methods? _________________ Current: Netgear R9000 DD-WRT v3.0-r55460 std (03/25/24)

I will try once the next release comes out.
Partition 2 is still non-bootable, so I am not hopeful it will work unless the specific undetermined problem gets addressed. I suspect the problem could be with the ipq806x kernel config but my post regarding that has yet to have any other opinions posted. _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562

Be careful with using the on demand governor on K6.1. There is a possible problem with cache coherency when the CPU switches which can cause reboots.
removed it from all my R7800's no more random reboot's ... CPU is running + 1-2C so, not a big difference ..
What did you do to solve these random reboots ?
Please tell because it's driving me nuts
If you are using the ondemand governor script, disable or remove it... <wink> _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

I have nothing running specially, SFE was on and I turned it off now to see if this helps.
No SAMBA
No QoS
5GHz works great never have issues with it.
No VPN
No SmartDNS
Before I was runining r53445 and it did run without issues.
Then I installed r53843 and can't remeber if I got any problems with that version.
But I'm 100% sure that the issues started from r53939 that the random reboots accurs and therefore I upgraded to r54079 in hope that this problem would be solved.
What pic's do you need, some schreenshots of my settings ? _________________ Regards,

usually just backup main router but I stuck him in a bit ago after the update just to see iffin old guy still worked.
No QOS / NO OVPN server / NO samba like I run on main EA8500
does have VLAN on port (closest to WAN) via br1 w/ wlan0.1 & wlan1.1
old thang still suits me
Left the EA8500 running r54079 most of the weekend and all seemed good. Power cycled it this afternoon, and four hours and twenty minutes later, it is still boot looping. Sigh. _________________ Linksys EA8500 (Internet Gateway, AP/VAP) - DD-WRT r53562
