Checked when I saw your post. I can access the smb share as 'guest' from a Mac but not with the credentials I've set.
Have basically the same settings as you but Access Level set to 'Everyone' _________________ Netgear R7000 on Build 55109

Meaning unprotected acess
I acess also from outside
Yes, the problem should be fixed. The current kernel based smb implementation has been broken on and off. _________________ Netgear R7000 on Build 55109

Ok thanks. You may know, but broken from “long time” don’t know if help’s you
One solution is to install Entware and then install smb there. You would then bypass the built in smb and, hopefully, get it to work _________________ Netgear R7000 on Build 55109

I have 2 Netgear R700 with last update and samba won't work on MacOs..... On windows and linux works fine
I think the settings are OK, as worked before on older router firmware....
I believe you need to set Encryption=Required in order to use SMB 3.11. And for SMB 2.x, you might need to do the same when using Access Level=Restricted, cannot quite remember!
How about trying SMB 2.x only in Min & Max Protocol Level??
BTW, remember to clear all saved credentials in your MacOS, otherwise, it will continue to use saved accounts to login those shares, especially if you had tried Access Level=Everyone! You have to flush all credentials on each test login.

The standalone but complete Samba (smbd, nmbd, winbindd) definitely has more features than the kernel-mode Samba (ksmbd) of DD-WRT, everything including Windows Server Domain and Active Directory! _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)
