Welcome to Broadcom r49113 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in WebUIbut v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. See Trac ticket #6246.
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Try client or repeater modes, but YMMV.
• VAPs not working at bootare fixed, both unbridged (r40634) and bridged (r47822). Please test, removestartup commands.
• If startup scripts do not work from USB add delay (wait script), sleep 25 or try Administration -> Commands -> Save USB.
• Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missingvia Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'.
• Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• Detail issues & relevant configs, logs: syslog klog 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages' nvram set console_debug=1, serial.
• Firewall NAT: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' & 'cat /tmp/.ipt'. Misc: stracetcpdumpwireshark.
• Gremlins: reboot. cold boot. Reset & reconfigure not restore backup. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.

With IPv6 enabled, I found that on IPv6 speed test sites using SFE gave the best results.

PaulGo, what kind of WAN speeds are you getting with r6300v1? My IPS just updated me to 250 Megabit down but I cant seem to get higher than 180Megabit with r6300v1.

Thanks for the info. I hooked up directly to my modem and am still getting 180Megabit (its an Arris SB6141 so should be able to support up to 343 Megabit). So its my ISP issue not the router.
Can you give more detail on SFE? I know what CTF is, but whats SFE and which page is it configured on?
The Arris SB6141 theoretical top speed is 343 the actual top speed is about 250 to 270 depending on traffic (I had one).
Id be happy with anything north of 230 megabit (my plan is 250). But it appears that this plan may require more than 8 bonding channels to work correctly. So that may be the issue with capping out at 180Megabit. I dont know, and when I contacted their tech support they thought I was talking about a TV package when I asked about "bonding channels". lol, thats ISP tech support for you.
What modem did you upgrade to? I got this ARRIS off Amazon in 2014, so it served me 8 years. Paid for itself long ago (considers ISP charging $10 a month for modem rental). So I wouldnt mind upgrading, but would like to future proof too.

Only if you need the extra bandwidth, SB6141 is 8x4 channel rated at 343Mbps/131Mbps. SB6183 is 16x4, double the downstream.
SB8200 is 32x8 or 2x2 (DOCSIS 3.1) 3GB RAM but is known to run hot. You may get a bad one and have to return or exchange.
Motorola MB8600 is same the chipset as SB8200, 512MB RAM but runs cooler. These are all Broadcom, not Intel.

With Comcast I have the SB8200 which is a 3.1 modem. In a few years they will have DOCSIS 4.0 modems which will have symmetrical up and download speeds.

CTF is much too slow for IPV6.
Just to clarify, your LAN is using ipv4 but your ISP gives your modem an ipv6 (your WAN IP is ipv6) ?
