Welcome forum members.
I have joined this community to ask about comfast device which I recently bought. My intention was to use ddwrt on this device but seems it's not on the list of compatible devices. Does it mean that running ddwrt is not possible on my device? What's more interesting , original firmware seems to be based on openwrt. Openwrt and gargoyle have proper builds for this comfast. Maybe it is supported by ddwrt as weel only there is no dedicated build for this one? Can anyone help me get the answer? Thank you! Here is the device specification from openwrt https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/comfast/comfast_cf-e385ac

While it's not listed here, it doesn't mean that it can't be supported. Looks like all the Comfast devices are 'activation required', anyway, but the not-so-long answer on getting support for it is to donate a device with the understanding that you will not receive it back. It is very close in hardware to the CF-E380AC, but again, the firmware requires activation to be used, anyway, so it's entirely up to you.

Actually I just wanna try this in my EW71.. and I did successfully. But it seems am not so familiar with it. So is there a way to revert it back to it's original firmware? because I do tried but it seems not reverting back.. Any assistance in reverting it back would be much appreciated..
New device support doesn't happen without a hardware donation and/or serial console boot log and fullflash dump provided by user wanting support.
e385ac looks similar to e380. but i cannot check whats working or not without having the hw its. unil i receive a hw sample, everybody can take his own risc and install whatever he wants. i'm out of order without equipment _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking?
