Linksys WRT3200ACM
no reset, from r47033
Firefox 89.0.2 (64-Bit)

I append a log file, this logfile was created after new update, there are a lot of "faults?" inside.

update run without problems, will come back when I get errors.
I will have a look to the WLan problem with 2.4GHz (disconnection/no Data transfer to clients; see my posts), I hope it is better in this version Wink

After switch off/on the router Wlan connections are ok...

best regards

Upgraded WRT1200AC v1's from r47033 to r47040 using Brave 1.10.97 (64-bit) running on Linux Mint 20.2 OS hardwired via Cat6.

Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, uptime approx 2 hrs, wired/wireless connected, vpn up immediately (Expressvpn). SFE, QoS and IPv6 are always disabled. OpenVPN client/DNSMasq and radios always enabled. I do not have any Apple devices. I do not use NAS.

Kernel Version Linux 4.9.274 #2743 SMP Mon Jul 12 03:06:21 +07 2021 armv7l

No issues with a routine update session. Running smoothly.

In this build is the same error as in other builds, Wlan connection breaks every 5-x minutes... clients disconnected 2.4GHz ( I append a Log-File)

best regards

I found this in another post, could the be the solution for that Problem?

"BS wrote to me in the tracker

Quote:
its set by default to 0 on all mvebu based devices since these devices do not report valid ack values. and default to 1 for everything else.

However, you should also be able to change this relatively easily and permanently in nvram.

only valid for builds ≥ r46069

Code:
nvram show | grep lowack

the command should display the individual AP's and VAP's

example:

Code:
nvram show | grep lowack
wlan0.1_d_lowack=0
wlan1_d_lowack=0
wlan1.1_d_lowack=0
wlan0_d_lowack=0

then simply activate the variables

AP's
Code:
nvram set wlan0_d_lowack=1
nvram set wlan1_d_lowack=1

VAP's
Code:
nvram set wlan0.1_d_lowack=1
nvram set wlan1.1_d_lowack=1

Safe changes

Code:
nvram commit
"

Since no one reported back on this issue, likely not the solution.
But in my opinion it won't hurt to give it a try.

@Fritzbuf

In current builds the setting should be available in
the advanced WLAN settings (but only for AP's / not VAP's).
it is available on our Atheros routers

I could've sworn that somewhere it was said that the disassociate on low ack was not supported in the Marvell driver, or that the ack values were invalid or some such, and that is why this is disabled by default.

Interesting about the ACK values. When did BS say that? I have Disassociate on Low ACK disabled for both radios, but Sensitivity Range (ACK Timing) reduced from 500 to 50 to curtail snooping, which is definitely working because I myself can't connect from such distance unless I first bump up that Range (ACK Timing).

Router/Version: WRT1900ACSv2 / r47040
File/Kernel: webflash via Putty / Linux 4.9.274 #2743 SMP Mon Jul 12 03:06:21 +07 2021 armv7l
Previous/Reset: r47033 / No
Mode/Status: Gateway, OpenVPN Client, FreeRadius Server / Uptime 15 min
Issues/Errors: The either/or wifi radio strangeness continues, but this time all 5GHz SSIDs are broadcasting but no 2.4GHz SSIDs (opposite of r47033). Hmmm, I wonder if it could be a power circuit issue? Log attached.

And the funny thing is, @ho1Aetoo is the one quoted from the other thread about disassociate on low ack and the Marvells giving out bad values. I just noticed that @Fritzbuf quoted from here. And here we are enabling it to test, why? Because somehow it mysteriously changed from being not usable to being usable?

@kernel-panic69, you are right Sad

NO RESULT, but:

the wlan connection 2.4Ghz break down and the client get no data. I try this with my "Technisat Internetradio Viola 2". The music stop to play, BUT I notices that the connection is break down not so often as before....but maybe I am wrong.

The result of the test with this values:
This is NOT a solution for this fault.....

I hope the programmer find the solution for this kind of fault ?!?
I can provide more log-files if you need!

Marvell wireless driver support is pretty much dead. You have to configure your wireless APs and clients around this or consider upgrading to an R7800 / XR500.

I had read this Version "R44048" work for this router and the WLan connction 2.4Ghz is stable!
When this is right why there are so many Problems in newer builds?

I can not understand that no one investigate this!?!? When the connction was stable in a earlier version, in my opinion than it is not a driver problem .
It must be possible to find the reason
(e.g. insert more log-entrys in the program).
I will provide Log-Files if needed Wink

thank you and best regards
