[WARNING]: This thread is only for feedback on this beta release for developers and the community's benefit.
DO NOT flash this beta release unless you understand the risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions! Create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in the GUI, but v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. #6246
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices(only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work
in some configurations for certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Use client or repeater instead.
• VAPs not working at bootfixed for unbridged VAPs in40562 - 40566. Effective startup commandsdiscussion thread is here.
• If start-up scripts do not work from USB add a delay, e.g. wait script or 'sleep 25'.
• Broadcom ARM devices if 5 GHz channels are missing, via Telnet/SSH: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'reboot'
• Show us your findings with steps to reproduce, configuration, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• For issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog, klog, serial, strace, tcpdump, wireshark etc.
• Any firewall NAT or WAN issues, show output: 'iptables -vnL', 'iptables -t nat -vnL', 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search SVN tickets & discuss in forum before opening. Before reporting: reset & manually set up, not restore from a backup.
• Please include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, CB, WDS, Mesh) & relevant configuration information.

Posted: Fri May 28, 2021 12:22 Post subject: [INFO] VLANs and port order issues
This build should fix the vlans and port order issue on E4200v1 (maybe others), but you have to do a second reboot via webUI after the router comes back up; This should be completely fixed in the next release. For all MIPSR2 devices (802.11n), please check your webUI and nvram variables:
Code:
nvram show | grep vlan.*ports | sort
nvram show | grep port.*vlans | sort
nvram show | grep vlan.*hwname | sort
If you see vlan0, please report. I already compiled a fairly good list from supported devices wiki and sent it to BrainSlayer, just need confirmation. A long-standing carry-over from MIPSR1 devices should now be fixed and no more lan ports issues on any devices, if all goes well. Also, port orders will be fixed on Northstar (ARM) in the next release, if not also included here. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

I have the WNR3500L v2. I'm go to switch config tab and there I can configure vlans. I'm remove vlans 3 - 15 (totally useless for me). Vlan 1 and 2 I'm leave without changes. Vlan 0 is exist and it hasn't remove button. I can remove it ? How is solution for it, remove button is unavailable for Vlan 0. Generally I'm glad for new options. That's very useful.

My device is Netgear WNR3500L v2I'm try to remove vlan0 by reboot. I'm done reboot by disconnect power supply from device (repeat 3 times). After that I'm reboot two times by ssh command. Vlan 0 is still exist. Actually that not significant issue. New options provide me to remove empty vlans #3 - 15. I think router working better now. Restore factory defaults is uncomfortable for me now. I'm done fresh configuration a few days ago. Generally - probably repeated reboot isn't solution for good vlans order. In my opinion vlan 0 interface should have remove button too.

Reboot through the webUI. If that doesn't fix it, then you have to do a reset, most likely since you likely upgraded via ssh istead of webUI.
NOTE: Your device may not be one that the vlan0 will be removed from automatically; if so, I submitted a list already, and it's only fixable via ssh using 'nvram unset'. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Mode: Gateway, Wifi disabled, Wireguard for external access, WAN to DSL, Keep Alive reboot 5:00 in the morning
Reset: No
Status: running CTF seems to be somewhat problematic, 37m up.
I enabled CTF the very first time since it was introduced, everything seemed to work.
BUT the very first moment I connect my mobile phone (on LTE not WLAN) via wireguard to this device and tried to open a website, the router froze.
Waited 15 minutes but device did not come back. Flipped its power switch, device was usable again.
Switched CTF back to previously running SFE, rebooted, problem gone.
Retested this 2 times.
Every time I enable CTF and try to access a website via wireguard --> freeze.
Screenshot of WG Router settings attached.
R7000 is 192.168.1.1, DNS is on another device.

Is this a MIPSr2 device as @kernel-panic69 mentioned?
At least it states MIPS32r2 in CPU Features.

Mode/Status: running with initial issues
Issues/Errors: Have now two RT-AC88U, one in gateway mode (new 2020) and one as access points (old 2017). Had some issues with initial configuration. I configured the gateway 4 or 5 times from erased nvram and always ended up with one nonfunctional WIFI interface. I could not find out wich step caused this issue but finally it worked. The access point was used as the gateway before and had also the issue with nonfunctional one WIFI interfaces. After a complete reset and new configuration it works as expected.
