Router/Version: WRT1900ACSv2 / r46733
File/Kernel: webflash / Linux 4.9.268 #2612 SMP Fri May 21 11:45:08 +07 2021 armv7l
Previous/Reset: r46716 / No
Mode/Status: Gateway, OpenVPN Client, FreeRadius Server
Issues/Errors: Upon first reboot from Putty command line after update, 5 GHz radio didn't broadcast and clients could only connect on 2.4 GHz. Log attached. After an additional reboot, everything seems to be working better so far. _________________ My DD-WRT Routers:

Macbook Pro 2018 - Macos 11.3.1
TEST #1 - My macbook was connected to a different WAP. My iphone SE connected to wlan0 along with a few other clients that connected to wlan0 and wlan1. Speedtest performance on iphone SE was great. It stayed up for a few minutes. Then I ran a speedtest again and performance was way down. Checked dmesg and logs and noticed it had crashed. webpage becomes unresponsive. my macbook never connected to the 1900ACS.
Test #2: i rebooted 1900ACS and the Macbook Pro 2018 MACOS 11.3.1 connects to channel 149 - 80mhz - it crashes hostapd pretty quickly.
Test #3: had both my macbook and iphone running speedtests for a couple minutes before it crashed.
All three tests had crashes. Logs and dmesg output from all three tests are attached. BS said this release contained some debugging info to help identify the problem. I'm guessing this is change 46733-disable symbol renaming. Hope this info helps.
Went back to 44048 which is the last good release if you have Apple devices in your environment. Something broke starting with 44085.
Linksys WRT1900ACSv1: router operating mode, hardwired ethernet lan to a WRT3200ACM. WIFI: 2.4ghz: NG-mixed, 20mhz channel width, channel 11, WPA2-CCMP-128. 5ghz: AC/N mixed, 80mhz channel width, channel 149+upper, WPA2-CCMP-128.
Clients: Apple MACOS x 4, IOS x 4, Apple TV, Chromecast Audio x 2, Eufy doorbells, Lutron Caseta, Axis Camera, Samsung TV, Nest thermostat, EtekCity outlets (Espressif)..
Tried that a bunch of times. 80, 40, 20 - mixed, ac-n mixed, ac-only, auto-channel - you name it. Works great when I fall back to 44048.
Phphoto— thanks for continuing to test these new builds for the Apple community.
I really hope Brainslayer or other code masters here are trying to figure this out and give us a working build at some point. _________________ Linksys WRT3200ACM

New record in kernel crashes.
up 2 min, load average: 0.93, 0.27, 0.09
At this point the crash had already occurred. Still same story, but good this time, that I did'nt have to wait 15 minutes for it to happen. Also ran a taint decoding script.
"Kernel is "tainted" for the following reasons:
* kernel died recently, i.e. there was an OOPS or BUG (#7)
For a more detailed explanation of the various taint flags see
Documentation/admin-guide/tainted-kernels.rst in the the Linux kernel sources
or https://kernel.org/doc/html/latest/admin-guide/tainted-kernels.html
Raw taint value as int/string: 128/'G".
Dont know if thats helpful. Digged it up myself as I tryed to learn more about what "tainted kernel" means.
1.)
I my opinion the fault is only in the 2.4Ghz module. The connection lag/break down for x sec., in this time I can not reach my lokal cams and also not the Internet. But I see that the connection to the router is still ok. I think this fault was hard to find.
It is not only dependent to Apple devices!!!
2)
After I made a change in the WLAN configuration Tab of 2.4Ghz the connection is still ok but without Internet connection.
It is only possible to sove the connection when I switch the router off/on.
3.)
The Mac-Filter configuration tab not work correct. After click the Mac-Filter-Client list I can not see all my clients, only 2.
Before I had an Buffalo Router and all work perfect!
I think all these fauts are hard to find and I hope you find the reason and fix it.
dd-wrt is very good to handle and I use this firmware many years,
THANK YOU!! _________________ Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H
Upgraded WRT1200AC v1's from r46690 to r46733 using Brave 1.10.97 (64-bit) running on Linux Mint 20.1 OS hardwired via Cat6.
Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, uptime approx 24 hrs, wired/wireless connected, vpn up immediately (Expressvpn). I do not use NAS. SFE, QoS and IPv6 are always disabled. OpenVPN client/DNSMasq and radios always enabled. I do not have any Apple devices.
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.268 #2612 SMP Fri May 21 11:45:08 +07 2021 armv7l
No issues with a routine update session. Everything up and functional after update but noticed Status/OpenVPN/Log was not showing the usual info. Initial log info appeared to be from later in the OpenVPN log info capture. Rebooted router after which the log was showing the usual content. No functional issues before or after the second reboot other than the OpenVPN log info variation. I've had no issues with the GUI.
Other than our phones, TV and tablets, which stayed connected, I didn't heavily use wireless until evening where wireless streaming worked with no issues for aprox 3+ hrs on two devices.
Also yesterday, working from home, Wife had new co-worker over for training (yes, we are fully vaccinated). Was pleased to find that three wired laptop corp VPN's were passed through with no issues for 8+ hours. Two of which were connected to the same corp server but from two different laptops. Normally we only have two with both connected to different corp servers.
Everything's still running smoothly after over a full day up, but I just noticed an odd behaviour. An Apple Watch (watchOS 7.3.3), after actually switching from wlan1 to wlan1.1, showed in Status/Wireless as simultaneously connected on two different wlans (and with the same exact connect time). This didn't change until it was manually disconnected from wlan1.1 at which time both entries vanished. Screenshot attached. Here, the two Watch entries are the MAC-randomization entries with second hex digit of 2, 6, A, or E. _________________ My DD-WRT Routers:

Issues with wifi SSIDs being swapped between chips and not being able to disable the radar detection chipset.
WLAN0 does not broadcast its SSID unless WLAN2 is explicitly disabled. If I don't, it attempts to send the SSID of WLAN2. Even after disabling, I'm lucky if I can get anything to connect to it. Radar Detection is disabled which should have prevented WLAN2 from activating.
It seems, for lack of a better description, like the WLANs are all tied in knots. I can't obtain an IP address at all even though I know the DHCP is working.
I am able to reset and reboot and it doesn't fix the issue.

There really isn't much to do unless he decides to patch the driver files himself; the files being the ones that are on github: https://github.com/kaloz/mwlwifi Not entirely sure if those are the same actual drivers from stock firmware, I have not dug into it, but to loosely quote BS, "no upstream support, it is what it is." _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Going on 2 days without a single Wi-Fi connection problem. I recommend a fresh install, and waiting at least 12 minutes before logging into router. To give firmware enough time to install. First Login, set password, disable WLAN2, hit save, and then (reboot in administration tab). Then after reboot start, and finish configuration of all other settings, save, and then (reboot in administration tab).
WLAN2 has been known to cause firmware issues in the past so disable it, save and reboot before anything else is set.
Hopefully this helps someone.
Recommended build
r44048
Not recommended
r46069 to r46733
r46069 Can't recommend this build it doesn't play nice with Android (especially Note 9, or Samsung S10's)
In OpenVPN Client I set the mtu settings back to 1500 just saying. Got tired of seeing the warnings in the log. I'll deal with it later. Although NordVPN is running fine.
Update:
First hiccup. I don't set my devices to auto-reconnect due to wanting to find out if devices will stay connected to router with internet without help. Walked out side lost connection due to rang. Tried reconnecting device 3 times before it would connect with internet. Now stable, and ok again without reboot.
Update 2:
Obviously the WRT3200ACM is a very sensitive 🙄 router. Last night late internet speeds started slowing down, internet hang up, connection without internet, and then this morning totally disconnected.

On the WRT1900AC v1, when I make any changes to the wireless configuration, as soon as I click Apply, the router stops routing packets. I don't have to do a hard power-cycle, I can reboot from CLI or the Administration tab. At this point, I can't even tell you how far back that issue goes. I've just come to expect it and plan to reboot if I touch wireless settings. _________________ __________________________

What is the output of DMESG? Can you access the GUI?
