Hello Guys,

I am wondering if someone can share a little of your expertise with me before I brik my router, if i still did not do it yet.

I had my E900 running dd-wrt.v24-40559_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e900, and wanted to test Tomato to decide the version that I want on my production gateway (EA6500) and I factory reset it and then install tomato-E900-NVRAM64K-1.28RT-N5x-MIPSR2-140-MAX from GUI.

After waiting a couple of minutes and saw stable ping, (with no http and telnet access) I rebooted the device. When the device comes up, it shows "DD-WRT" as devicd name on the web log-in prompt but the previous password is not working (tested web, telnet and ssh).

I could think that this is related with the some screwed variable on NVRAM, i did not perform any 30/30/30 yet.

Saw a solution from the same problem on another router (R7000).
"Shibby's instructions:

run router and wait for 2-3 minutes
push and hold wifi on/off button for 25 secs.
use telnet on port 233 and log in to router without password
run command: nvram get http_username (use as username)
run command: nvram get http_passwd (use as password)
when you log in to tomato remember to erase nvram
then flash with the full tomato version "

Should I try that one by pressing the "WPS" instead of "wifi ON/OFF" (dont have that input on mine)

Thanks you,

Alex

Edit: Found a threat of the E900 and it confirms that pressing the WPS instead of the "wifi ON/OFF" it shoulds enable the telnet service on port 223, but obviously, it did not work on mine. Do you recommend me to do a 30/30/30? Sad
