r7800
previous 51589 (last good)
Status - reverting back to last good
WDS STA on Atheros 5GHz with VAP on same , is still completely fouled up.
in this version you get a forced channel 100 on the vap and NO WDS connection on the primary. In my case primary should find and conenct at channel 149 as in 51589. and the VAP should inherit the channel properties of the primary , none of that happens. Prior the the new kernel ticket

Router/Version: R7800
Previous/Reset: 53562/yes
Mode/Status: AP with vanilla wifi and samba÷dlna
Issues/Errors: Samba is not usable with Win10 file explorer and utorrent downloading files to share drives. There are connected 3 USB drives on r7800. Last stable build for me with this scenario was 53562 with old kernel.

Router/Version: Netgear R7800 x 3
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r55209 std (02/27/24)
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r55179 std (02/24/24), last reset at 54905
Mode/Status: Gateway (SFE disabled), Access Point (VANILLA firmware,2.4GHz, 5GHZ, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k), IPV6 (DHCP6 w/ prefix delegation), Entware, DOT via SmartDNS/DNSMasq, OpenVPN server, Wireguard Server + 2 wired access points (VANILLA firmware,2.4GHz, 5GHZ, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k)
Issues/Errors:
Up 2.5 hours. USB 3.0 working properly for Entware and "jffs" partitions. Wireguard and OpenVPN servers working as expected and throughput sufficient to open video files on network shares. Speed (tested via nPerf.com) is very close to published, both wired and wireless, which is equal or favorable to the ISP router. SFE remains disabled due to random reboots. Router LAN lights are working.
Expired cert error when downloading the new build via HTTP. Easy enough to bypass but should be noted.
Router/Version: Netgear R7800
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r55209 std (02/27/24)
Previous/Reset: 02-02-2024-r55052
Mode/Status: Gateway, Entware
Issues/Errors: SAMBA: when trying to write any file to a share (using Windows 11), the router crashes and reboots immediatelly (share on USB drive, SSD, ext4 partition). Accessing the share via FTP works normally.
Router/Version: TP-Link TL-WR841ND v11
Update method: WebUpgrade
File/Kernel: tl-wr841nd-webflash.bin_r55209 / Linux 3.18.140-d6 #193788 Tue Feb 27 06:17:15 +06 2024 mips
Previous/Reset: r55179 / no
Mode/Status: AP wired and wireless / Up and running for 8:52 hours
Issues/Errors: Nothing significant
The fact is that the router connected to the Internet (to the Internet provider). And it reports an error, the orange WAN indicator flashes (the icon in the form of a planet). Internet is working, I just think it's a glitch
Thank you BS and gurus! _________________ Atheros

Mode/Status: WDS stations (5GHz)
Issues/Errors: I finally took the time to figure out why I could not upgrade after r54248. Turns out that virtual access points were keeping the routers from connecting to the WDS AP. Not being able to set up 5 GHz VAPs will be a problem. I haven't upgraded the R9000 that I use for the WDS AP since I've been unable to dl r55209 from the dd-wrt ftp site.
WDS STA 5GHz w/Vaps has been seriously broken since 51589, it presents very differently in k6, but i think its all the same core issue described in detail and easily replicated in.

That being said, I have been upgrading r9k WDSAP with no impact to the issue and just reverting my 7800 wds sta back to 51589 until fixed. Unless you are running SMB (which looks like is currently being addressed) you should be good to go to the latest on your wds AP side (only STA modes seeme messed up). Unfortunately i use SMB on my r9k and have had to revert the last few builds.
