Reading the articles it states...

We uncover a vulnerability of the NPUs in AP routers that can be exploited by a malicious supplicant to spoof the legitimate AP to forge ICMP error messages in Wi-Fi networks.

So, does DDWRT use the NPUs?

They also have routers listed as vulnerable that have no NPU at all as well as Broadcom and Mediatek routers.


TL-XDR1860 = Mediatek
TL-WDR7660 = Mediatek
AC23 = Realtek
AC11 = Realtek
AC10 = Realtek
AX 3 Pro = HiSilicon
RAX20 = Broadcom
RAX50 = Broadcom
X18G = Mediatek

Just stay off Public WiFi or use a VPN.
