    • You will be prompted to enter a username and password.
    • Default username is root unless you have set another username.
  8. Log in and configure your router as desired.

[edit] Upgrading DD-WRT

  1. Download the desired generic release for upgrading (filename will not have wrt310nv2 in the name).
    • Be sure you understand which version (mini, small etc) is compatible with this router.
    • Read Note 4 in the Peacock thread and then reference the K26 Comparison Table
    • Current recommended release 14929 files from the Peacock thread can be found here
    • Release 15940 is reported stable in the forum and was the only release referenced on this page before editing on 2011-05-30. Files can be found here
(Leaving this from previous page edit - You may flash r15940/broadcom_K26/dd-wrt.v24-15940_NEWD-2_K2.6_std_nokaid_small.bin if you want IPv6 support)
    • NOTE: build 33679 std_nokaid_small works with this router here [2]
  2. Go to http://192.168.1.1/ (or whatever IP address you assigned to the router if not 192.168.1.1)
  3. Go to Administration -> Firmware Upgrade
    • Where it says "After flashing reset to" leave don't reset selected.
  4. Click "browse" and select the mini generic firmware image you downloaded, then click "Upgrade"
    • Once the router has flashed the upgrade, the router should reboot and return to the Setup -> Basic Setup page.

[edit] De-bricking

  1. Method 1: Management Mode
Put the router in Management Mode as described above and perform the installation procedure as described using stock firmware or the initial flash file above.
  2. Method 2:TFTP Flash
Flash the router with stock firmware via TFTP. REF: Upgrading the router’s firmware using the TFTP utility
Repeat initial installation procedure and upgrade to a known good build.
  3. Method 3: Serial Recovery
