maybe you didnt flashed it correctly. the free version has the same kernel and boot sequence. the registered version has just the wifi driver stuff inside. everything else is identical _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? I've hit the same problem but also on versions prior to 21-12-06 which has led me to question my install procedure rather than the software
I've read through various other posts and been through the steps of:
update bios
boot damn small linux live cd
delete partition 3 in fdisk of /dev/hda
dd if=dd-wrt.public-vga.img of=/dev/hda
However, I was confused about a brainslayer comment of the need to delete /usr/local/nvram.* I'm guessing this is if you are already running dd-wrt which is not the case
dd-ing seems to create 4 partitions hda1-4 all 1 block in length which doesn't seem quite right. Also, after a dd should there be a grub_install command or similar.
