yes it supports openvpn.
I use it on my 1.8 1043 with BS18007
Wifi speed is great : 300mbit/s
But has an issue with ssid falling away after a certain time with "NG mixed".
With option "Mixed" no falling away of ssid, but speed decreases then to 144mbit/s
Just wondering, after all this time, anyone can recommend me a better firmware for the 1043ND v1.8 other then the 14929 to work with?
currently when i try to make bulk transfers of a huge files (can be even 100mb) i'd get a "choke" from the router and would need to physically restart it otherwise no wireless would work, this happens on wireless transfers of course.

just upgraded to the newest build yet *19519*
as far as 2 hours since i did the upgrade i still am copying data over wireless and it doesn't choke!!! it works perfectly, recommend anyone that needs it, (i would only add this version has a few bugs still so careful and consider\test it)
Yesterday, i got my new 100 Mbit Internet Connection. on my 1043ND i've installed DD-WRT r19519.
With this firmware version i have heavily problems. It was running for an hour, then the router hangs up - no lan, no wlan - nothing. the lan & wan led's were blinking, but i had no connection anymore. Power Off/Power On not helped me, i had everytime to reset ^^
Then it works again only for an hour .. i did that 4-5 times!
Now im on r18024 and it's working since 10 hours. This version was already 2-3 times here recommended. I hope, that solves the Problem now!
