Hi I've just purchased dd-wrt V24 special for my linksys e3000 and the shop send me a link to download the dd-wrt.v24_micro_special_generic firmware.bin file Is it safe to flash it straightaway to my e3000 or do i need any specific version of firmware for my router? I saw one of the thread in this forum said that e3000 need to be flashed with K26 build otherwise it will bricked, but from what i've heard no K26 available yet at the moment. What i suppose to do know?!

DO NOT FLASH IT WITH SPECIAL EDITION!!!
I was just asking Redhawk0 about this the other day in this forum and he stated that the Broadcom 4718 Chipset that is in the E3000 / WRT610Nv2 are not compatable with current builds of Special Edition.

If you can find a WRT610Nv1 that is based on the Broadcom 4705 Chipset, it can be flashed to Special Edition.
But I would definatly not try to flash it with what the website suggested. Way too expensive of a router to take the risk. Especially if the Devs say it will not work......yet..... _________________ WRT610Nv1 - WAN
