I have a WRT54G-tm wtih flashed DD-WRT V24-SP2 (10/10/09) std. My hard wired computer (win7 64bit) does not recongize the network. All my other computers a hard wired XP and two wireless XP laptop and win7 32bit see it and connects to it fine. I can surf the net with no problems so far, but I get a red X in my "connect to network" field in the task bar. The only thing that is different, that I can figure out is this computer is a 64 bit. I had an older Belkin hooked up before that worked fine, I rehooked it back up and still worked fine, but when I hook up the linksys with the dd-wrt, it doesn't give me a network to connect to .. but yet I can surg the net ... any ideas ?

Try a diff lan port on the router.

I have one computer, that was not recognized on port one of one router.

All other computers had no problem using port number one and the one computer that did, had no problems with any other router. That computer would also work on any other port except number one on that one router. I could not understand why.

Make sure the network is a home network on win7 and read the forum announcements and get a reliable build on your router before you spend much more time configuring it...

Auto DNS and Auto IP address too.

well, I moved the cable to another port, Now it at least shows a connection is available in the task bar, but still can't connect to it. As the user above stated, to change to home group ... it's not showing in the Network Sharing to change first of all, and second ALL my other computers see it as a "work" group and is working fin (mix of XP and win 7 machines see above) so can't be the router if only one machine can't connect. Not sure if it's a NIC driver issue ... again it worked fine with an older belkin router ... can't find anything on the net with same issue .. it's actually working as it should, I can surf the net and so on .. just can't connect to the network .... ideas ?

I should mention(read above) that the netowrk that is now showing up in the notification area is listed as Unknown Network" ...
