i had a linksys wrt320n brick on me randomly and using a serial usb tty connector, im having trouble typing in commands. im new to recovering bricks but it looks like cfe is screwed. i can see some output but when i break boot, and get a cfe prompt, its taking forever to type a letter, and if i do say type in ifconfig, and hit enter, it does nothing. my goal is to get it to set eth0 so i can tftp in a flash but is this thing screwed? i got my gnd, tx, rx, connections pretty good on it. note - i cant ping 192.168.1.1 or get any lan ports to work

heres my hyperterminal, output. minicom on linux provides similar results

Will using jtag help fix my cfe issue? I never tried jtag so Im not familiar with how it works. Im puzzled as to why Im unable to input any commands, and typing each letter is extremly slow and takes 3-5 tries per letter. Even if i could get a ifconfig and hit enter, it doesnt respond. I dont get another cfe prompt neither. Is this thing f'd?
