I have Cisco M20 V1.0 and stock firmware. I have tryed the 30/30/30 hardset. I tryed tftp2.exe and it said fail. I read somewhere in the forum that someone flashed there Cisco M20 and it was GOOD!

I'm using (dd-wrt.v24-14471_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_m20.bin)
the flashing just fails. Can anyone HELP me and tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Try this one...

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24-K26/svn15508/dd-wrt.v24-15508_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_m20.bin

Back when 14471 came out, your unit was not fully supported yet, now it is

What's the difference:dd-wrt.v24-14471_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_m20.bin - dd-wrt.v24-15508_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_m20.bin? Is one newer then the other?

I got this model to work, thanks to the link above ^_^

but I have couple of question.. How would i (a noob) find the download on the website?? its not listed under anything.. is it cuz the router is new so dd-wrt doesn't have it categorize? or i just don't know how to navigate..

I'm asking because I want an update, i don't know if its the firmware or me having 2 repeater bridge trying to access this router at once >_< the darn thing keep disconnecting/reconnecting my wifi..

What do i do with that valet key usb thing after i flash it with dd-wrt?? (what is it in the first place?) I flash the m20 as soon as i open it out of the box so i never knew wth the valet key is for =/

last question, what is the sync button/center button for in the wrt160 and m20? i know its used to connect different hardware, but does dd-wrt support that function? i try pressing it but it does nothing @_@

i got wrt54gs, wrt160n, and this m20 all flash with dd-wrt.. >_<

ps: has anyone try http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/V24-K26/svn15943-snow/dd-wrt.v24-15943_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_m20.bin ?? is it stable? what's the difference?

I was able to get dd-wrt.v24-17598_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini from ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24-K26/svn17598/
to load into my Valet Plus M20.

As with an M10 that I successfully loaded with this build, I am using the M20 as a wireless Client Bridge for a media player.

I've had the M10 running DD-WRT for a month in the living room and have had zero problems with it.

Its only been 1 full day for the M20 but all seems well.

I was not able to get dd-wrt.v24-14471_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_m20.bin to load. I tried svn17598 before I saw a more recent M20 specific mini build. For now I will stick with svn17598 as it is working just fine and is the newest dd-wrt.v24-K26 build.

Hi all. I've read the forums and have tried to get this to work on my M20, but am still stymied. Here's my situation: I want to hook my M20 through my 2010 Airport Extreme so it (M20) is always connected to vpn.ewr.witopia.net.
I have been able to upgrade the firmware to dd-wrt.v24-15508_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_m20.bin and dd-wrt.v24-17598_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini.bin.
Following the directions here, I have both the PPTP server and client disabled; enabled the Proxy/Connection Watchdog (with Ip address set to vpn.ewr.witopia.net and the proxy port: 1194)
I have entered two WITopia DNS entries in the Static DNS 1 and 2 slots
I copied the script and added my ca.crt, client.key and client.crt values; then rebooted.
The firewall setting has also been added, and another reboot was conducted.

I did not see any openvpn client settings in the menu items (s there are in some of the posts in this forum area.

The connection type is PPTP (don't know if this is correct) or what else I could be missing. All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Why isn't this listed in the list of supported routers? I found one on Freecycle, and almost ignored it. But I'm glad that I did a search in the forums. Otherwise, I would have skipped it entirely.

In addition:

An oversight? Or, should I not try and flash my router, yet?

My M20 has been working flawlessly since I flashed it months ago. Very pleased with it and it's ability to provide me with whole house access to an IP in a different country. ( via a paid service).

What the heck; I'll go for it.

The ONLY issue I have is...why do I have to flash it from within IE?

I only ask because...well, I don't HAVE any computers with IE. Every computer in the house runs a version of Ubuntu.

Chiming in. Have used this version for about a week now without issue.

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24-K26/svn17990/dd-wrt.v24-17990_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_m20.bin

My stock firmware would stop passing WiFi traffic every day or two, but DD-WRT has been rock solid stable. Anyone know if I can switch to stnd-nokaid-small now that I've flashed to DD-WRT? Would like to have SNMP support.
