In short, plugged in 24V adapter instead of the original 7.5V and heard a loud bang. Nothing works since then and no lights/sounds whatsoever. There was no burning smell either.
Can anyone take a look and tell me what exactly did explode? Can it be the F1 fuse? It looks intact for me. If you spot anything suspicious I can take a bigger pic zoomed on that part.
VR2 and D1 doesn't look too good, I think you'll find they are shorted if you measure them. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!

Yop, VR2 must have gone home... look up the model number and pinout. I/O voltages may be like 7.5VDC In and 5VDC out.
What is the voltage on the DC tank capacitors??
After 30 years in electronics I believe that if your fuse got cooked, something on-board shorted out to fry it.
Your best option may be a new router unless you want to learn about the limits of digital electronics.
