Hi All,

I have recently aquired an Asus RT-G32 from a friend who previously tried to install DD-WRT firmware onto it.

He has informed me he tried to install "Asus_RTG32-firmware.bin" Webflash image using the redboot technique and this caused the router to be unable to load the image after the bootloader.

After reading the instructions myself I noticed brainslayer's Linux.bin was meant to be used. I have used this and flashed it using redboot.

DD-WRT is now on the box but will not save any settings in the NVRAM after a power cycle and will not upgrade.

My personal thoughts are to revert it to stock and use the webflash images to flash this.

Any help on how to do this or if you have a solution to the upgrade/not saving nvram details problem will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have read through the Support topic 3 or 4 times and it is either irrelivant or out of date. Seeing as alot of it was out of date I wasnt sure whether it was the correct place to post my question.

If you believe it is then you can merge it?

Cheers

Hello guys!

I have been able to put dd-wrt on my RT-G32 A1. I have written the method here:
