Hey,

I've been running DD-WRT on WRT54GL routers for some years now and it all worked like a charm yet. The thing is, I'll soon get a 100/10mbit internet connection and apparently the WRT isn't able to handle the connection in order to the full speed as the CPU is too slow. Can anybody confirm this?

I'd buy a new router if the WRT is too old for the connection, could anybody give me a suggestion for a new router? It should have the following features:

* DD-WRT capable (of course)
* able to handle 100/10 internet connection
* reasonably cheap
* Draft-N WLAN
* Gigabit Switch
* USB Port for external storage

The last 3 features are optional but nice to have if I need to buy new hardware.

For your needs I would suggest Asus RT-N16, fast cpu, lots of ram, external removable antennas. The best you can get IMHO.
