Would love to use this guy for a wireless bridge, that is it's current purpose and it's working kind of well but not dd-wrt well. I have 3 of these so if I brick one of them it's not too much of a big deal.

Forgot to mention that this unit contains 2 antenna's, that are externally removable. For my repeaters they are currently connected LMR400 cable with parabolic antennas to transfer signal from one house to the other, although I do get issues every so often with the firmware freezing up etc.
The trendnet firmware is currently available for download for this unit from trendnet's site.
I know I have been babbling a lot tonight, it just dawned on me that this unit has 256m ram... (4-Meg X 16-Bit X 4 banks) = 256M and a 32M flash... thats huge considering I paid 30 bucks for this access point from newegg during their sale, which i've seen quite a few times already. Or am I just so tired that my math completely sucks.
I always find it amusing to read back over my sleepless rabble and see stuff like that... I tried this morning to flash it with the g300n firmware but to no avail. It checks for a unique name to be specified.
It looks like there is a 4pin block directly next to the Ralink IC that may be usable for jtag... Although I had a massive surge last night so I can't really solder in anything in to this device right now until I get a few more of them, that is if this item may get supported...
was wondering if anyone had made progress with dd-wrt for this Trendnet model. I see someone on the Newegg product page claims to have installed dd-wrt with no problem. However, he provided no details...really wondering what build he supposedly used (?)
I was scheduled to be back home around November, but I'm still away from home, so I have thus far not had the time etc to send over a router over there. I'm hoping that by Mid March I'll be able to do this. _________________ - Belkin ShareMax F7D3301v1 DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/13/10) big - 15452M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko
