I myself was in a different state from where I am at now. Just happened to see what was on TV. I was completely horrified. Called most everyone in my family and then a few others.
It was sad and tragic. There was not much I could do but hope and pray for the safety of those still alive. _________________ E3000 22200M KongVPN K26

I was at the parking lot of my dentist's office in Springfield, VA when I heard a LOT of fire trucks with their sirens heading toward I-395 (obviously going to the Pentagon - about 15 minutes away).
At the same time, I heard initial reports on the radio that a commuter plane hit the WTC. Some minutes later they reported that a second one hit the WTC. At that moment,I realized we were under attack. They did not report the Pentagon crash til later.
I worked in Crystal City right next to Pentagon City. Never could get in to work that day.
It was a terrible day for America and all Americans. _________________ E3000 (converted from WRT610NV2)

at the time.. I was in the air between san louis potosi and mexico city on my way home.. needless to say, I was stuck in mexico city in a hotel across the street from the airport @ 370 usd per day (very lucky to get a room at all.. The line was real long).
I hitched a ride with another stranded business man to San Antonio. From there.. I rented a Ford Escort (one way) and drove home non stop to chicago.. I could not get a car on my own.. I had to use his Avis Gold card to get a car. The challange was.. The rental car place was at the airport.. The airport was closed.
Lots of details to the story.. 38 hours later (no sleep), I rolled in my driveway. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
