Hello, please help me or give links.
I want to use IP telephony without provider, ie:
Dd-wrt routers to make a vpn over internet to link office networks.
The idea is to have all offices connected, and the ATA boxes, to use conventional phones, enroute calls between the different users' extensions.
All this without hiring IP phone provider, or have a server like Asterix, only routers and adapters attached.
You can do it, but you really should expose yourself to some Asterisk play in a lab or at home. Install it on your dd-wrt box.
I've ran an Asterisk server at home that had DID's coming into it from 3 different countries with and one local ATA box for my local Bellsouth/AT&T landline that I used to managed its incoming calls and for outgoing 9-1-1. For non-emergency outgoing I used flowroute.com
Your dialplan will be key, and it will be complicated. This is not an Asterisk forum. After you get Asterisk installed and you can hook your first ATA or softphone up to it, I would recommend reposting this question on an Asterisk forum.
