Port forwarding / opening a port

alright, im not a complete computer noob but im havin isssues

ive put ddrwt on my asus 520gu.

im trying to run vnc...but need to open up 5900...i dont want to just open up dmz


so, in port forwarding...i want to forward 5900 to what?....ive googled and googled but im not sure what to do? just put in any generic port like 80? or is there a way to open up the port instead of just forwarding it?

Firstly, wrong forum section. This should be posted in "General Questions".

You need to forward from port 5900 to port 5900 AS WELL. The IP address should be set to the computer running VNC. It should be a Static IP address so it doesn't change or you'll have to change the port forwarding settings everytime.
