Hi,
in this thread in the old forum I described how to seperate switch port 4 using VLAN.

Basically it was some nvram variables which needed to be changed.

Code:
nvram set vlan0ports="1 2 3 5*"
nvram set vlan2hwname=et0
nvram set vlan2ports="4 5"

nvram set rc_startup='ifconfig vlan2 192.168.200.10 netmask 255.255.255.0'

nvram set rc_firewall=
'iptables -I FORWARD -i vlan1 -o vlan2 -j ACCEPT
iptables -I FORWARD -i vlan2 -o vlan1 -j ACCEPT
iptables -I FORWARD -i ppp0 -o vlan2 -j ACCEPT
iptables -I FORWARD -i vlan2 -o ppp0 -j ACCEPT
iptables -I INPUT -i vlan2 -j ACCEPT
iptables -I INPUT -i vlan1 -j ACCEPT'

nvram commit
reboot

This worked just fine with my current router versions WRT54G v2.2 to 3.1.
Today I received a new WRT54GL (v4.0) and loaded v23 SP1 on it.
As I tried the code mentioned above but I could not get switch port 4 to run on a seperate VLAN interface.

Does anybody know what has changed? Could it be some changed nvram variables in the firmware or is the configuration not supported anymore in a WRT54GL?

I think for V4 and GL it is:
nvram set vlan0ports="3 2 1 5*"
nvram set vlan2ports="0 5"
