Okay, I've seen a thread or two so far detailing the upgrade, but I'd just like to get a bit of clarification. I definitely have the tools (hot air rework station is the main thing which will come in handy for desoldering a TSOP-4Cool, and I know what parts I'll need (The flash IC in there is a 29LV160, I'll get an identically-specced 29LV640, even if I can't use the entire capacity, they're quite cheap.)

Anyways, I know I'll have to install the JTAG header and dump the CFE, but what then? I do I have to somehow modify the CFE to make it recognize the larger amount of flash? And then what?

Thanks.

Yeah, I have the same doubt. Will a compressed CFE work with a flash bigger than 2MB?
