How come no one mentions Wireless N? I would think the ASUS WL-500W would be a better more glorofied version of the ASUS WL-500G Premium Is this true or am I missing something?

Thanks

I would say x86 is the fastest, and the cheapest, and the best for your $$

You can get many pci-X or pci-e 4 port gig e cards in one box on the high end, or use some old and free computer that will blow away any home router for $5-10 for an extra 10/100 pci nic.

However registration to use wireless is ~$45 + the cost of the card ~$15-20 so it is not suitable for wireless.

the WZR-AG300NH ( http://buffalotech.com/products/wireless/wireless-n-nfiniti-dual-band/ )

I'd be interested in knowing as well..

A bit of time has pasted on this question of support for Buffalo's WZR-AG300NH. There seems to be some reluctance to support this router because it is not sold in the US for the time being. Elsewhere in the world would certainly benefit from dd-wrt support for this bad boy. And I'm sure the early adopters in the US feel abandoned since the router shipped with draft-n firmware and have not received any attention in the way of an upgrade since then.

I have a Japan model WZR-AMPG300NH which I believe has the Marvel chip and I would love to upload dd-wrt. What is the remote possibility there is firmware support (English is fine) for this router? What can I do to get that in play.

May I add the FON router?

It's the cheapest DD-WRT router.

$17 incl. shipping and tax (invite required at shop.fon.com)

Any update on this yet? I'd like to know which router you all recommend I purchase. Money isn't an issue right now (well, as long as it's not over like 300 dollars). What should I purchase?

What's wrong with the Linksys WRT54GL?
I have the Buffalo Whr-hp-54g and it works great.

Reluctant to get N router until it is finalised and dual band at least.

What's the difference:
Asus WL 500 G Premium
and
Asus WL 500 G Premium version 2.

Reason being is that Australia stock all says version 2.

I would also really like to know how the whr-g125 fits into the mix. Is is just like the WHR-G54S that we know and love, except with 240Mhz instead of 200? if thats the case then it seems to be a no-brainer choice since as far as I can see the price is virtually the same (atleast here in Norway anyway).

So does anyone know?
