Hey there,

I have to repeat an access point's signal - problem is there are two AP with the same SSID, but I have to use the right one of those two. SSIDs can't be changed.

How can I tell my WRT54G which one to use?

Thank you!

Can you change one of the ssids? If not, you shouldn't be using it.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, is it a public wifi like in one of my situations that your trying to repeat? I don't think theft-of-service is condoned here... Just be a little bit more specific... Wink

Lol I don't even know what you are accusing me of (please explain?) but just to make things clear... I am at a marina that has a lot of access points with the same SSID and I am receiving three of them. However, I get best results when using a specific one of them (which doesn't have the highest signal though, so it won't be used automatically...). I am getting tired of leaning a metal plate to one side of the router ;)

I hope you got me now...

Use the MAC Filter to block the ones you don't want.
