I am starting preliminary research on a RAM upgrade for my WRT610N.

I have modified it to take the E3000's firmware via the known CFE change. I want to take it to the next level and upgrade the RAM.

I have experience with SMD, hot air, and circuit schematics. I was hoping that I would be able to do something similar to this:

I know there are a myriad of other routers that have 128, 256, or X MB/GB RAM capacities but I am looking for a new challenge.

Does anyone have the datasheets for the BCM4718 and/or the applicable datasheets for the compatible DDR RAM modules?

I'd love to post this to the Wiki if we can get this moving... Twisted Evil

I just received a Netgear wndr3700 v3 and it has a BCM4718 with a winbond w9751g6jb-25 RAM chip, so I can only assume those are compatible. According to the winbond site this is a 512MB DDR2-800 chip... I found the winbond datasheet here: http://www.winbond.com.tw/NR/rdonlyres/88BE4535-7F2C-41DE-A2BE-F24591F18160/0/W9751G6JB.pdf

Hope that helps.
