Hi. I'm using Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/10/09) std on a WRT54GL. I don't know why, but the cpu sometimes kicks in at 100% and it's barely useable...

The top command in telnet reports the following :

Mem: 11964K used, 1040K free, 0K shrd, 1484K buff, 4728K cached
CPU: 33.3% usr 66.6% sys 0.0% nic 0.0% idle 0.0% io 0.0% irq 0.0% sirq
Load average: 1.97 1.53 1.39 2/22 10350
PID PPID USER STAT VSZ %MEM %CPU COMMAND
413 1 root R 2628 20.1 91.5 httpd -S

That happens.. often, but i cant find anything special that i'm doing, just web browsing.

Right now as i'm posting this, cpu usage is 100%.

Anyone can help me on finding out the source, or a solution to this issue ? I was using tomato without issues on this router, 1 month ago. Thanks for any help !!!

There's a bug that seems to be a little difficult to find, so use one or the other, not both..
