Steve over in Ypsilanti TWP/MI only a few short miles away!

Ever figure it out? I have a few ideas.
But without hands-on I'd be guessing.

Some bridges are very finicky about passing DHCP.
You could also be running into an IP conflict
between your own stuff and some management lan that
exists at the hotspot or on the Comcast equipment that you are unaware of I've seen that happen a few times I've also done it intentionally to mess with friends and people in Dearborn.

I appologize for the late reply. I never figured out what was causing the issue. I am connecting to a WOW wireless router/cable modem. As soon as I cloned the MAC address of a Hawkings Technollogy USB wireless adapter, it worked. it may be some type of manufacterer MAC lockout in the WOW router code.
