Hi

I'm planning to buy a router that can work as OpenVPN client.

I have a question:
Does every device with DD-WRT-firmware have OpenVPN client supported?

Thanks.

Thanks for replying.

So if router has been flashed with VPN or Mega firmware
it should have both OpenVPN server and client?

I'm still quite new to router flashing.
But in other words non flashed routers will gain more functions from flashing?

Yes

Yes ---- really depends on what router and what firmware build. Some highend new routers supported by dd-wrt are still in early development and may or may not work 100%

Hi

I flashed DD-WRT into my router.
However I cannot find certain options from OpenVPN client tab.

I cannot find for example Encryption Cipher field, Hash Algorithm or TLS Auth key.

I'm using guide from PureVPN to setup VPN:
https://support.purevpn.com/how-can-i-configure-openvpn-on-my-dd-wrt-router

The router in question has only 4MB Flash memory so do 4MB VPN firmwares lack certain options?

Sorry my latest message wasn't accurate enough.
