Hello,me again. Does anybody can tell me how to install the latest build? I tried a few moments again, but with no succes. Please, I need help. I'm using the 13637 build now and I want to update it to the last. Thanks in advance, and I hope that somebody wants to help me.
I just wanted to inform you that the flashing under Ubuntu 9.10 described in http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=398056#398056 went successfully without any problems. Router under heavy load wireless slowing, crashing and freezing - the Asus original software. From now on, the problems are gone. Thanks
I saw another post in this forum were someone said he just flashed this router using the web update utility from Asus so I did the same thing. I did not do a 30-30-30 but the router was factory fresh. I did not set static ip in computer either.
The router worked right away in A simple mixed network of wireless G and wired computers. This is the first time i used DD WRT and i was pleased how well it went.
Hey mbill glad to know it worked for you
which file did you use there are two files in that folder, and also is everything working perfect with your router. I have heard ppl are having wifi issues and issues during heavy internet traffic like bittorrent.
I used this file for firmware asus-to-dd-wrt.bin. Also there is a super secret page on the Wiki that tells how to fix problems with bittorrent and other peer to peer aps with DD WRT. It is kept well hidden and even though i knew it existed i could not find it again. Luckily i saved its location in my notes because i thought it was something i would need in the future.
By the way, i really should have did a good reset after loading in the firmware to clear the NV ram. I may think i am running well but there may be fragments in NV ram that may cause problems later. search for 30/30/30 reset.

Hello, anyone installed the latest build,14144? I tried both files ,but doesn't work... I don't know what to do anymore. I currently use a old build, 16367. Tried to upgrade firmware from the interface, nothing. Tried to reflash with Putty,nothing.. Is there any solution? Thanks!
Recently I've bought a Asus RT-G32 (H/W B1) and I followed all the steps of wiki to upgrade it to DD-WRT but with no result. I tried and tried lots of times to connect to redboot in the first 10 seconds but with no sucess.
I've been in Asus website and in the firmware page for this router i've noticed a specific and different firmware for the version RT-G32 (B1) (they write there that RT-G32 is different from RT-G32 B1).
Is it for this reason that I can't connect to Redboot in the first 10 seconds (with putty)?
Do I have to setup up some special settings in Tftpd32?
If someone could help me I would appreciate a lot.

Sigh.. What tricky bastards Asus are.
There is a new version of RT-G32 but the photos of the label in the FCC database doesn't show it as RT-G32B, only as a RT-G32, same as the previous one.
The FCC approval ID number is different though, the new one is MSQ-RTG32 while the older one is MSQRTG32.
The new version is based on Ralink RT3052 while the old one was Atheros based.
That is for sure the reason why you can't flash it with dd-wrt. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
First of all, thanks a lot for your answer.
The problem is that I even can't connect to redboot in the first 10 seconds.
So there is no DD-WRT for Ralink processor? :(

Someone else has to chip in on how to access redboot on Ralink devices, I don't have any such routers, and you'd better bring those questions over to the dd-wrt Ralink sub-forum.
There are dd-wrt builds for a couple of Ralink based routers so the cpu is supported but dd-wrt also needs individual router support.
It was FCC approved March 8th so can't have been on the market for more than a week or two, it may not even be sold on all markets yet. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
