I'd like support for the router and would wanna help. So, you need the following info?

(taken from the router support detection page)
Quote:
DD-WRT router support mainly depends on the chipsets (cpu, wireless NIC, ethernet chip etc.) used. By providing such information it's much easier for us to give you a fast response.

If my guess is correct, then you would want the following info from one of the links posted in this thread:

Architecture: MIPS
Vendor: Atheros
Bootloader: U Boot
System-On-Chip: AR9132 ( AP83 )
CPU Speed: 400 Mhz
Flash-Chip: ST 25P64V6P
Flash size: 8 MiB
RAM: 32 MiB
Wireless: Atheros AR9103 802.11n
Ethernet: Gigabit switch Realtek RTL8366
USB: Yes 1 x 2.0
Serial: Yes
JTAG: Yes

May I know the possibility of getting a DD-WRT firmware that works for this router WR-1043ND?

How's the procedure like? Would the developers compile the firmware from the specs and pictures given? Or do they need the phyiscal hardware to generate the firmware?

I'd really love to get DD-WRT running on that router but I know nuts about this. Sad

Dear Friends,

Please spare some time and do some work to add dd-wrt on this router, this is cheapest router with good features and processor speed.

I can send details about any if required.

Thanks

Can someone please share what is the work needed to get DD-WRT working on 1043ND? Or, what do the developers need? I'd really like to help out but I'm not sure if I'm up to it. Embarassed

Maybe we should better make a hardware donation. Then I would add 10 € too.

Hi,

basically it is possible to port dd-wrt on this platform but currently we
have no sample of this model to do the work.
