Did you set to broadcast on channel 14 using DD wrt software?

I use it as well but can only choose between channels 1-13 Sad

My E3000 with the latest Kong build allows selecting channel 14. This is illegal here. If I remember well, FCC said that in the US channels 1-13 are allowed for wireless users, but in practice US hardware manufacturers only allow users to use channels 1-11.

I cannot use channel 14 on my E3000 unless I stop using 40Mhz channels. I can use channel 13, however.

Is there any way to block the upper channels (at 2.4Hz) from being automatically selected if we go to http://<router_IP>/Wireless_Basic.asp and choose "Select Channel: Auto"?

My router somehow picked up the 14th channel (I went to http://<router_IP>/Info.htm> and now it's invisible.

It would be a lot easier to make the router choose the best (less clouded) channel were I live than having to test it everytime my connection somehow slows.

One, where channel 14 is not leagal for wifi use
