if you try to ping the pc to the gateway ip does not work!
But here are the pictures of the configuration

How do you get a LAN IP for your computer, by DHCP or by manual config?
What Gateway IP has your computer got? _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
my computer is the gateway ip of the router (192.168.1.1) then the gateway, the internet ip, the dns of the router is purchased with the PPPoE dialing.
Turns out he gets ip and gateway but do not get the dns and I can not ping the gateway to the same router.
Even putting the dns from the computer
Make a screenshot of your Status/WAN page in the router when the router is connected and has a WAN IP. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
Your gateway is 194.xxx.xxx.xxx, and you don't appear to have any dns.
Please post a picture of your basic settings page. That is where the error is. Or just go to the openDNS section of the wiki and use those settings. _________________ SIG:

I think the problem is elsewhere, he should be able to ping his gateway IP without having DNS servers specified. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!

I think he might have two problems. Looks from the screenshot that his gateway is on a different subnet, which could be impacting on getting dhcp. That's why I want to see his basic settings page. I agree that the pinging issue is not a dns issue, if he is pinging a numeric IP address. _________________ SIG:

You have no gateway, or dns settings. I suggest setting both. See the wiki for openDNS settings and use those. Gateway should be the lan IP of the primary unit, or bridge the modem and use this unit as the gateway.
Any device connected to this unit will get a 192.168.1.x IP address, and won't be able to ping anything at, for example 194.xxx.xxx.xxx. See the basic networking for dummies sticky too. _________________ SIG:

From what I can see, the problem must be in his modem configuration, that gateway IP is listed as a dial-up IP for telepac.pt
devil-bcl , do you get the same weird combination of WAN IP and Gateway IP when using your other router? _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!

I don't know much about modems since I don't have one. So, you could be right. _________________ SIG:

devil-bcl, it would also be interesting to know if you can ping the OpenDNS servers, 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
If you can ping them, then enter those IP's as Static DNS 1 and Static DNS 2 in the Basic Setup page. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
