OK your cross reference to Repeater Bridge got me working, much appreciated. Next question, where do I send the solder ?
Editted original post follows:
I couldn't (till today) get client bridged working with the current builds on a new Buffalo WHR-G300N.
The dd-wrt database indicates this is Ralink, but specs and discussions I find online refer to Intel 4965AGN chipset, which doesn't have a forum. Please clarify for me, and sorry if I'm in the wrong forum.
The host is a Verizon Westell (non-linux) using WPA2.
I've seen comments to the effect that client-bridged mode on this equipment wasn't working in a DD-WRT to non-linux-host environment, but V23 should work. Only I can't find it ... was it ever built for this model ?
I've got an ink/toner refill store, and want to highlight my preferred printers in the front lobby. The first supposed print server/bridge I bought didn't support WPA2, necessary here for several reasons (10.5 OS X not to mention commercial security requirements).
I was about to pull a wire to a switch when I realized the client bridge is not only the more elegant solution, it would appeal to my customers so it's worth learning.
I (no longer need to) return this to Newegg for an easier model to configure for client bridging (just a network print server, range is no big deal), so I'm open to recommendations, but a good build would be easier, can you send me a link to a build or let me know if anyone is working on this ?
Many thanks,
Will
