Any devs playing with this idea?
Just looking for information on using DD-WRT as a VoiP Gateway/mini PBX.

- Yes, Google brings me good results, but I love to ask here anyways.
- Yes, I am aware of the open-wrt version.
- No, MilkFish is not what I am looking for. (MilkFish is ok for internal use, but is not compatible with external carriers)

I was looking for perhaps maybe a beta or unpublished version of dd-wrt with embeded asterisk if at all possible. I am willing to beta test a micro verion if any devs want to give'er a go.

I have fresh WRT54G v6 to test with right now. (currently has VXworks on it)

I haven't tried myself, but I believe Asterisk is supported in Brainslayer's MEGA builds only.

There is no way you will get Asterisk running in a Micro build of dd-wrt.

I am pretty sure the devs here are capable of compiling a version of dd-wrt with Asterisk.
Perhaps not micro, but I am sure they would be able to work out a version that will work as a mini PBX and still be able to function as a router/gateway.
There is already a version for open-wrt so it is possible, just not sure if the devs want to touch it.

I have not since a mega will not fit on a WRT54G.
I would need a micro "small" version to make it work.

Edit:
Did some hunting a bit in the downloads, but I dare to say it has not been done by any of the dd-wrt devs. It could be hidden somewhere though, or perhaps a reason why there is no interest in doing it. Never hurts to ask though and who knows, I just may get another link to the peacock thread. WOOHOO!

From another thread...

Brainslayer's MEGA-version contains the binary which you have to configure on the terminal.

And to re-iterate... because of the size of the package involved, it will never be available in a micro build for your WRT54G.

Good pbix, now I´d like to ask you what source of information you used to configure Milkfish???.. the Wiki??.

I tried pointing the outbound proxy to the local Milkfish router as written in the Wiky but I dont get it to work..

Milkfish starts fine, but when I tried to register my phone to the router it hangs. I also have an external provider.

Thanks in andvance.
