Dear experienced Mates!

I'm using my DLink DIR-825 since a year or so, with pleasure.
Now I had to connect more PCs by wire and I was confronted with the following problem:

The router has 4 gigabit ethernet ports. The 4. of them goes down to 10 megabit after couple of day of usage.
It helps the restart of thr router only.
On the PSU shouldn't be, because the radio part has been deactivated, hence the power consumtion shall be much less as usual.

It's very boring to restart the router after random number of days... Has anyone an idea?

Thanks alot,

Large selection of CAPs for all size of projects HV 1000kv+ to small router type CAPs. Digikey is well known US distributor.http://dkc1.digikey.com/us/en/pdf/Current.html.

If you are in the Toronto area here are a few. Sayal and Active123 are on the same block across the street from each other.Sayal has a good selection of power inverters.

Hi:

Is there any clear (or at least likely) electrical sign of failure for these?

So, for example, if I have a multimeter, will the voltage or current be highly unstable, or could it "appear" normal even with a meter?

Thanks

I have bought a few belkin f5d7231-4 ver2001 routers on ebay (in each case desribed as a 7231-4p with usb printer support and a stock photo so one could not tell it is a quite different model). They have all had bad ,bulged top electrolytics. I guess that may be why they were on ebay. They also have a cheap, hot linear regulator beside the electrolytics so that they get cooked. One could replace the old linear with a switched unit - but the router would be worth less that the converter.javascript:emoticon('Confused')
