Hi there,

I would like to know which chipset Sitecom WL-306 and

Sitecom WL-308 carry inside.

I tried to google, but without succes.

Has anyone ever cracked them open or tested them?

Thanks in advance,

Dear sash,

thank you for your response, but I don't have the

devices, that's why I was wondering if anyone has

already done broadcom detection or crack them open.

They seem to be very interesting routers because of

their detechable antenna's. Maybe I by one anyhow to

crack them open myself and do detection.

Or has anyone else already bought the devices?

The source code for the WL-306 (and WL-303 and WL-312 for that matter) can be downloaded from http://www.sitecom.com/download/4008/GPL_WL-303_306_312.html.

Although I haven't been able to build this firmware, I think a lot of information can be extracted from it. For example, ISD2\vendors\nsr-9750g\configs\firmwareconfig.h says 'WL-306: 802.11n Router, Platform: RaLink 2880 SoC + 2860 + RTL8366SR Gigabit switch'. Also by looking at the source code, I think these routers are Senao/EnGenius clones.

I own an WL-306 myself; any chance of running dd-wrt on it, based on this information?

I've opened up the device, some images are attached. I can't find an FCC id and neither a CPU model id. From the chips that do have recognizable part numbers, I think the device has 32M flash memory and 2x64M DRAM. The device name that I already gathered from the source (NSR-9750G) is also printed on the right side of the PCB.

Anything else I can do to determine whether this device is/can be supported by DD-WRT?

The ESR-9750 doesn't have a gigabit switch. The ESR-9750G does.

ESR-9750:http://www.e-telecom.eu/pfile.php?id=42
ESR-9750G: http://www.engeniustech.com.sg/dlspec.php?file=ESR-9750G.pdf

So, more precisely, it might be the ESR-9750G?

Not only might, it is the ESR-9750G.
The pcb number (NSR-9750G) on the right side matches photos on the FCC site for the ESR-9750G.
FCC ID U2M-SR97908002
