Hey all, I searched the forums for the TEW-672GR but
did not find any information..

would it be possible to get DD-WRT into this router?
http://www.trendnet.com/products/proddetail.asp?prod=150_TEW-672GR&cat=137

I am in no way an expert of looking up whats needed
for DD-WRT, I've only used it on a router where it
was installed from before I got it, so thats all my knowledge ;)

I dont ask how to do it, just if it works :)

thank you in advance!

ah perfect, thank you for the link! =)

well as far as I can see the router seems to be based on a realtek chip..

https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm

Grantee Code: S9Z
Product Code: TEW672GR

Check the picture that comes with the post for an internal look.

thanks for the info, too bad about the router tho! Wink

thanks for continuing =)

well, the memory chips seems to be the
ESMT "M12L128168A" / "7T"

http://www.esmt.com.tw/DB/manager/upload/M12L128168A.pdf

according to the pdf and other info sites about this
chip it seems to be 128 Mb on each chip, totalling
on 256 Mb.. eh, am I correct on this?

seems a bit much for RAM on a simple router?

Then I searched for "29LV320CBTC-70G" which seems
to be the flash memory..

"32M-BIT [4M x 8 / 2M x 16] SINGLE VOLTAGE 3V ONLY FLASH MEMORY"

PDF File;
http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/143143/MCNIX/MX29LV320CBTC-70G/++033244upvlhVax/BDPbzzvLLfOMlGV++/datasheet.pdf

if PDF doesnt work, go to this page;
http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/143143/MCNIX/MX29LV320CBTC-70G.html

last I searched on was the "RT2880F" and found
a thread here on the site;

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=249727

tipsy and dotbody on the middle of the page
discusses this chip that it might be a problem of the router..
anyway, it's up to you guru's if it works though I guess ;)

finally, looking at the TrendNet website for the router
http://www.trendnet.com/products/proddetail.asp?prod=150_TEW-672GR&cat=137

and also looking at the download you find that you
can download the whole linux dist for this router..
so, just a thought.. if there is linux already on it,
it should basically be able to run dd-wrt right?

just because its linux, however I do understand if
commands and such might not be the same as on other
routers so a special version must be written..

but are there any hopes for this router?

2Mbits with 16 bit data bus and 4 banks = 16Mbytes each chip
This router has 32Mbytes of SDRAM
