Here is my situation.

1. I have Road Runner cable Internet upstairs connected a DIR 655 Router

2. Downstairs I have Comcast cable Internet connected to a Asus WL-520GU DDWRT Router

3. There is no room to run a ethernet from upstairs to downstairs

4. Now with a Linksys Rv042 Router, I should be able to connect to WANS.

5. If I place the RV042 upstairs next to Road Runner, I connect One WAN Port.

6. In order to connect the second WAN port, is it possible to use a DDWRT Bridge Router (WRT54GL).

7. That WRT54GL would be tied to the Asus with Comcast as a Wireless Bridge.

8. Thus, the RV042 will have two WAN ports, though one of them is coming as Bridge.

9. Anyone if this should work as expected?

I have not bought the RV042 yet.

Thanks!

Yes it should work but with some scripting you should be able to do it with just the 54g though it requires some decent knowledge of shell scripting to adapt it. See the dual wan thread or the wiki tutorials if interested.

Thanks for the input, I got the RV042 at a good price, new for $100 shipped, thus am going to try it out with that unit.
